I got invited to Angular Connect, this is my story.

  • He was organising BetaBeers at the time and he invited me to give a talk about web design.
  • I accepted the challenge and had a good time, which then led me to do another talk at a bigger event: Women Techmakers Vigo.After a while, Orestes showed me that there was more than HTML and CSS… He showed me JavaScript, and boy, was I lost.
  • I have never met so many incredible people in one place at the same time.
  • I was learning Angular with the Ultimate Angular courses by Todd Motto, who I actually spent some time with there.

I got invited to Angular Connect, this is my story.It all started when lifetime partner, my daughter and me moved from Brussels (Belgium) to Pontevedra (Spain). I had just got into web design and I was loving it.I won’t go into details too much, because otherwise this post would take hours to read, and I want to try to keep it short.I started working at a coworking office and met Orestes Carracedo. He was organising BetaBeers at the time and he invited me to give a talk about web design. I accepted the challenge and had a good time, which then led me to do another talk at a bigger event: Women Techmakers Vigo.After a while, Orestes showed me that there was more than HTML and CSS… He showed me JavaScript, and boy, was I lost. But I slowly got more and more into it. He then presented me to Angular… and although he also mentioned other frameworks, Angular was the one that stuck.While I was starting to learn Angular, Orestes thought that it would be a good idea to meet the community.
