Why do you prefer to use ReactJS over VueJS or AngularJS?

How to choose a frontend framework:

  • For me personally going with React over the other 2 was mostly for non-technical reasons.
  • What you should be asking yourself is: – – In terms of the technical aspects and developer experience, I just like React’s simple API, I also prefer JSX and the “it’s just javascript” approach of React.

For me personally going with React over the other 2 was mostly for non-technical reasons. It was the most popular out of the 3, had better job opportunities and seemed like it was the safer bet going forward.

You can talk about which framework/library is better technically all you want but in the end, with the right knowledge/skills you can build any kind of web app you want with any of the 3.

What you should be asking yourself is:

For how long will this tool survive? Honestly these days who really knows, at this point the only certainty is that eventually every tool is going to go out of style. At the time though react had the most potential (still does imo)

What will I gain from learning/using this tool? Given that every tool will eventually die out, it’s important to ask yourself what kind of skills/knowledge will you gain from using this tool, things that will benefit you even when it does die out. React was great for this because they try to keep the api as small and as simple as possible and don’t do too much for you behind the scenes (like auto-binding methods), you usually have to handle a lot of that stuff with pure JS. Same goes for the html, with JSX you handle everything with simple JS instead of relying on a special templating language. With Angular and Vue I think it’s easy for beginners
